VAGAHAU NIUE HOME LEARNING KITS

We were thankful for the Ministry for Pacific Peoples in supporting this project, allowing us to produce Vagahau Niue Language Kits for our families in the community.  We successfully launched the kits at the start of Niue Language week (17 October 2021).  We’re pleased to report, all 200 kits were distributed within the week!  We have started a list of families who missed out and would like one.  Contact us if you’re interested.

Equally, please provide feedback re our Vagahau Niue Home Learning kits.  The kits included: board game, bingo game, memory cards, a cultural booklet and a vowel sheet.   The board game, designed by Alana Jensen from Lower Hutt is proving as a great hit, in allowing families to sit down together to play and learn vagahau while going around the ‘island’ and collecting ingredients for their umu kai to celebrate.

We look forward to building on our Vagahau Niue resources for our community to enjoy.
